Plastic shampoo and conditioner bottles are a huge source of plastic in most people's everyday hygiene routine. You buy a bottle, it lasts for a few weeks, and then you toss it, only to go buy another plastic container. The amount of plastic from shampoo/ conditioners over a year can be staggering. Shampoo and conditioner bars are a great way to remove that plastic from your every day hygiene routine. They usually come wrapped in some form of recyclable or compostable packaging, and once you're done with them, there's no waste left behind! Both the packaging and the product have either disappeared or can be recycled. But how long do these bars last?
The answer is, of course, it depends. Mainly on how big the bar is and what ingredients the bar is made of. For example, our shampoo bars weigh 70 grams, and are good for 40-50 uses. Our conditioner bars weigh 40 grams, and are also good for 40-50 uses. The total amount of uses will vary based on how thoroughly you use it to wash your hair, and just how much hair you have to wash!
