Why does the planet need these?
Plastic bags are pollution: Over 8 million tons of plastic end up in our oceans every year, and plastic bags are one of the top 4 contributors to that waste. Plastic bags are one of the many plastics that break up into "microplastics", which end up in the bellies of many marine animals, including our mascot, the narwhal! This ends up choking marine life, or if they survive, ends up being ingested by us.
Reusable bags do not contribute to waste: By using reusable bags for produce and other groceries, you are significantly cutting down on your plastic waste, and doing that much more for the planet.
Why do you need these?
Dimensions: Large bag: 31 cm (12 in) wide, 41 cm (16 in) tall, Medium bag: 31 cm (12 in) wide, 33 cm (13 in) tall, Small bag: 31 cm (12 in) wide, 20 cm (8 in) tall.
These reusable produce bags have saved me from hoarding plastic bags to use as trash bags. They’re incredibly convenient because I keep them in my tote bags so I can just pull them out whenever I go to the store. In terms of the environment, I think it’s worth the investment. Not only are you no longer contributing to adding trash to landfills, but you don’t have to worry about all the plastic piled up in your house and being used to throw away your leftovers, or whatever you use them for. It’s time to go green.
Reusable Mesh Produce Bags (9 Pcs)
I bought some reusable mesh shopping bags in three sizes and am so happy with them. They are easy to wash if they get dirty and are sturdy and practical. I feel better about being able to help the environment and not have to use plastic produce bags.
They are so much better than plastic. They let the fruit and veggies breathe when placed in a refrigerator. The draw string makes it easy to carry them. They are washable and reusable for years, as they are made of sturdy fabric . I shop at the farmers' market weakly and use my bags all the time.
Great deal. Gave the second set to a friend.
